This sweet simple pinafore dress made from this colourful vintage (1950’s) children’s curtain fabric, a firm medium weight vintage cotton has the gorgeous colours of mid 20th century fabric design. The vivid, subtle and joyful scenes and colours epitomise the simplicity and whimsical use of popular culture highlighted in the pre-60’s era of design, and a slightly Nordic rural theme in its simplistic styling.

It is lined with another vintage pink/red check cotton, and pink/white spot piping at the neck and armholes, plus the same as binding at the hem. As usual with these it has poppers for easy on and off with the little wriggling sweetie! It can be worn with a long or short sleeve T-shirt in cool times, or without on warm days, and as the toddler grows it becomes a top over leggings and shorts rather than the knee-length dress.
