Just occasionally I have a rush for something geometric, so finding this violet check gingham-type soft vintage cotton fabric fulfilled my needs this time. I have lined the dress with a really sweet printed floral lemon, violet and green vintage cotton fabric, and have again enjoyed myself with a tiny piece of vintage orange delicately printed cotton. Not pleased with just that for the Pickle and Dot iconic patch pockets, again a bit of playtime with orange coloured frill and ribbons, and have used the same orange fabric to bind the neck, armholes, and back opening, the latter being finished off with a bright orange button and ribbon loop.

Like the other dresses with this bouncy balloon hem, pwning and wearing this will give a little girl (4 year old) the feeling of springy and bouncy prettiness, for summer parties, Christmas or any other ‘special days’.
